What we collect.
Two categories.
Information you give us
When you submit a quote request or contact form, we collect what you type in: your name, phone number, email address, property address (or ZIP), the service you’re asking about, and any message you send.
If you call us, we keep a record of the call (date, number, what we discussed) so we can follow up properly.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, how they got here, and what device they’re on. Google Analytics drops cookies in your browser and collects anonymized usage data — IP address (truncated), pages viewed, time on page, referring source, and basic browser/device info. We don’t connect that data to your name or contact info.
How we use it.
- To respond to your quote request, schedule a site visit, and send you a written estimate.
- To contact you about scheduled work — confirmations, rain delays, follow-ups.
- To send you a warranty reminder when your sealcoat is due for renewal (every 2–3 years).
- To understand which pages of the site are useful and which aren’t, so we can improve.
We don’t sell your information. We don’t share it with marketing lists. We don’t trade it. The only people who see your contact info are us, the office staff scheduling the work, and the crew assigned to your driveway.
Third parties.
A handful of services touch your data because they have to in order for the site to work:
- SiteGround — our web host. Sees web traffic and stores form submissions on the server.
- Google Analytics — usage analytics. Anonymized.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces. Logs your IP per Google’s terms.
- Form plugin (WPForms / Fluent Forms / Gravity Forms — whichever is installed) — processes form submissions and routes them to our office email.
- Email provider — delivers your form submission to CustomerService@apatcompanies.com.
We don’t use ad-tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking on this site.
Cookies.
This site uses cookies for two reasons: to make the site work properly (session, preferences) and for Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work, but Analytics won’t see your visit.
Retention.
Customer records (quotes, jobs, invoices) are kept for the standard NJ business retention window — generally seven years for tax and insurance purposes. Form submissions that don’t turn into customers are kept for up to 18 months in case you decide to call back.
Your rights.
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your contact info from our marketing records.
- Stop contacting you about future maintenance reminders.
Email CustomerService@apatcompanies.com or call (908) 730-7281. We’ll handle it. Note: records tied to actual jobs (estimates, invoices, warranties) are kept for the legal/insurance retention window even after a deletion request — we just stop using them for marketing.
Changes to this policy.
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version here. Material changes that affect what we do with your data will be flagged.
